The City College of New York will host the 91st American Chemical Society Colloid and Surface Science Symposium on its campus from July 9-12, 2017. We are bringing this to your attention as a business whose products and processes rely on the principles of colloid and surface science. The premier international conference in this vibrant field, the Symposium typically attracts about 600 researchers from across the globe. A highly multi-disciplinary group of experts from academia, industry and government laboratories will discuss advances in colloidal dispersions and emulsions, wetting and surfactancy, complex fluid rheology, functional nanomaterials, self-assembly, cosmetic science and personal care, advanced surface characterization techniques, etc., while also having the opportunity to interact with instrumentation vendors at the exhibition. In addition to the most prominent leaders in the field, the Symposium typically draws about 150 students, many of whom will be excellent employment candidates whose skills match your company’s technical needs. The technical symposia that will be offered are listed on the "Sessions" tab.

Our objective is to organize the best possible conference while keeping registration fees affordable. We are actively promoting this conference across the campus, the CUNY systems and Universities, Institutes and Industries in the City and beyond, and we are confident that the Symposium will attract participants from across the globe due to the unique geographic position of our campus in the North of Manhattan. The costs of running a conference of this size and impact are substantial. The City College administration has contributed generously in cash and in kind to help defray costs. We invite your company to contribute its financial support to the effort. All donations will be publicly and prominently acknowledged. “Gold level” donations of $3,000 will be acknowledged as such in the program book, on the Symposium website before and during the Symposium, and your logo would appear on displays throughout the venue and on-screen before plenary sessions. “Platinum level” donations of $5,000 or more will be acknowledged as such and will receive the most prominent placement in the aforementioned locations.

We hope that you will not only support the Symposium with a generous financial contribution but also add to its vitality by the participation of your experts in the technical program.
